Recruitment Chair

Ohio State University Neuroscience major, not as impressive as it sounds. I take an interest in the intersection between cognition and computer interfacing, though keenly aware of the dangers posed by human-machine hybridization and the movement towards digitizing and packaging the human experience.

I'm one of two current recruitment chairs alongside my colleague and friend Harsh Gaur. Our goal is to ensure the process of joining Sankalpa, getting situated with our volunteering and funding activities, and collaborating with our members and sister clubs is as smooth and welcoming as possible. My current responsibilities include but aren't limited to:

- Organizing events, ideas, logistics, and planning for the Fall and Spring Recruitment Fairs that take place at OSU every year

- Brainstorming new and engaging ways to make service a readily-accessible, fun, and fulfilling experience

- Deciding appropriate funding methodologies to increase financial strength of Sankalpa's funding

- Investigating the efficacy, merits, and downsides of proposed projects

- Involved in formalizing support for funding specific approved projects

- Creating new frameworks by which USA-national NPOs/NGOs can receive funding

- Volunteering translation and form filling assistance on request

- Recruiting new volunteers as membership rotates

- Ambassador of Sankalpa at formal, informal, and collaborative events with other NPOs/NGOs, service clubs, and culture clubs

- Collaborating with other organizations to increase outreach, membership, and grassroots manpower

I hope that my time at Sankalpa paves the way for disenfranchised and minority communities to be empowered and to create equitable access to a fairer standard of the human experience.
